Pokemon: The Dark Hero Zekrom

Welp, I went ahead and watched it. Not a bad watch. the animation was really nice and the plot was decent. Reckon, I only watched one version of it, but from what I hear, it's the same movie with some pokemon swapped around and some minor dialogue changes, but I still wanna see for myself.

As such is our heroes of the movie. Ash shows he finally grew some value of a brain cell by informing Iris that he is always hungry and he is aware of this. Way to go Ash.

But who do we care about in this movie? that's right, the promo pokemon Vicitini. 

If this sucker can't steal your heart then bawww. He's so freakin adorable. ;3;

I sort of feel bad for his situation though. Being put in that must have been hard. But alas, Victini is a good sport and work with it all.

I would give Victini an 4/5. He's got the spunk and charm of Mew, but not the troll worthy personality.  It looks like he has the typical good pokemon heart and does his best to keep everyone and himself happy. Also, don't hug the guy...

Now for the "antagonist" it looks like they went with the well intentioned extremist again. Pokemon movies tend to go either way with them. hilariously enough, i found the design... interesting. 

I dunno... Maybe I'm just not used to pokemon whipping out dual hair colored characters. It's a pretty silly design, but the over all feel of the character and the way he's set makes it work rather well. I hear there are some design differences in the other, so I'll look into that in the future. 

Man, I seriously love how they animated reshiram in this one. He even has a nice call sound. It's pretty much perfect. Zekrom's voice threw me off for a bit, but they barely talk, so it's not that hard to adjust. I have a hard time understanding Reshiram though. Maybe I need to look up what truth means, because it's not making sense in my head. 

I really wanna watch the second one before giving a full out thought on how this was thought out. Version exclusive movies sounds really cool, buuuuuttt you never know~ 

I might do some doodles of this movie. As rushed as everything felt (But many pokemon movies do) I still think it was cute. Oh well, let's wait and see from the other version shall we?
