On Monday, we had a bit of a down pour here in Texas! ...Not that it's a bad thing, we've needed the rain. It all just came so fast, it caused some issues! Not to mention, the cars wouldn't stop driving down our street.
It started pretty light, but got worse pretty fast. Soon, the power went out and it was "Noooo!" time... Except I had charged my DS and just bought the DSiware of "Cave Story". Ahahaha, I was NEVER good at that game, but it's so much fun. ;u; Three days playing and I'm only on the second level.... on easy mode.
Ah, well, I was working fine for awhile, and once the worst end of the storm passed (or so we thought, we went outside around 1:20 and looked outside.)
Ahhh!! The water as pretty high up! It was kind of funny how fast it came up, but it wouldn't be funny if it flooded. All the leaves from the neighborhood were clogging up our drains!
My mom snuck this picture in of me. As you can see, the water is up to my knees and I'm just standing on the edge! It was pretty strange at first, but one can get used to it.
Little hard to get at a distance, but we were making whirlpools to get the water levels down. This one was a big larger than it looked. We wouldn't get a real large one until after the rain slowed down.
All in all, nothing was flooded out and any cars that had water in them was able to dry out~
For a change of pace in discussion, let me say this: I like fortune cookies. They have always been fun... but sometimes, the fortunes I get are a little.... unique.
The strangest part is that before I ordered my meal, I was debating on sizzling shrimp or the house noodle soup... guess which one I didn't go with.
